Dr. Nitai Madhav Das

Dr. Nitai Madhav Das is a preacher, śāstric teacher, administrator, fundraiser, and project leader with a special interest in developing education within ISKCON. Born and brought up in Juhu, Mumbai, he comes from a Pushti Marg Vaiṣṇava family with a background in the pharmaceutical manufacturing and trading business. He studied at Utpal Shanghvi School in Juhu, completed spoken English examinations with honors from Trinity College, London, and pursued Indian classical vocal music at Sangeet Mahabharati. He later earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Mumbai, an MBA in Human Resources, and a PhD in Psychology with the research topic “Behavioral Transformation in Bhakti Yoga Practitioners According to the Bhagavad-gītā.” He has also completed the Bhakti-śāstrī, Bhakti-vaibhava, and Bhaktivedanta courses. He is a disciple of His Holiness Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaja. He joined ISKCON Juhu as a brahmachari after completing his graduation.

Within ISKCON he has served in various leadership, preaching, and administrative roles. At ISKCON Juhu he served as Director of the Bhaktivedanta Youth Club, conducted college outreach and corporate programs, established the outreach initiative “Secrets of Success,” and served in various temple departments while also engaging in Life Membership development and donor cultivation. He later pioneered a Traveling Sankirtan Bus Party across India for preaching, book distribution, and harināma, and served as Vice President of the ISKCON Bhiwandi center, contributing significantly to the development of the Bhiwandi temple project through outreach, training, and fundraising.

He has served as a teacher at the Mayapur Institute and at various ISKCON centers, teaching Bhakti-śāstrī, Bhakti-vaibhava, TTC-1, TTC-2, BSTTC, and the ISKCON Disciple Course. In Śrīdhāma Māyāpur he served at Bhaktivedanta Academy Mayapur Gurukula as an āśrama teacher and later as Principal, teaching philosophy, drama, and music, and guiding the training of young Bhakti-śāstrī students.

Dr. Nitai Madhav Das currently serves in several educational and leadership roles within ISKCON. He is involved in fundraising and temple project development for the ISKCON Panvel project and serves as Head of the Community School at ISKCON Attapur, Hyderabad. He acts as program administrator and teacher for Bhakti-śāstrī and Bhakti-vaibhava courses at various ISKCON centers.

He is actively engaged in course development for educational programs such as the Srila Prabhupada Introductory Course(www.spicofficial.com), the Founder-Acharya Course, the ISKCON Disciple Course(iskcondisciplecourse.com), and Teacher Training Courses. He serves as Secretary for the ISKCON Disciple Course Secretariat, Chairman of the ISKCON Teachers’ Board, and a member of the Board of Examinations under the ISKCON Ministry of Education. He also serves as Convenor of the ICC Education Committee and Convenor of the ICC 60–50 Committee.

He is currently working on several national and international educational initiatives for Vaiṣṇava children associated with spiritual training and education. He is also preparing a CBSE (national board) integrated ISKCON curriculum designed to promote homeschooling and community schooling initiatives in India.
